Toronto FC are in blistering form right now. The Canadian outfit are still one point ahead of Chicago Fire in Major League Soccer’s Eastern Conference and Greg Vanney’s men will be full of confidence ahead of their trip to Dallas. After all, the hosts have won just two of their last six clashes with Toronto and the visitors will fancy their chances.
According to 888Sport, Toronto are priced at 29/10 to snag another win – and victory would send out a message to their main rivals in the MLS title race. Vanney’s side have struggled to inspire confidence away from home but this could be their time to shine on the big stage.
Meanwhile, the draw is available at 5/2 with Betway and plenty of punters will be backing a share of the spoils this weekend. Both sides are difficult to beat and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see a tight-knit contest at Toyota Stadium.
The hosts will head into this contest as favourites and it is easy to see why. Dallas have been solid at home this season and bettors going predominantly with the form guide will consider siding with Oscar Pareja’s men here. At 21/20 with William Hill, Dallas are well priced ahead of what could be an exciting affair.
Individual Goal Scorers
At 6/1 to bag the first goal of the game, Toronto superstar Sebastian Giovinco is well worth backing. Bet365 tend to offer a lower figure for the Italian veteran to notch the opener so this represents excellent value; especially for those backing the Canadian outfit to emerge victorious this weekend.
Meanwhile, Jozy Altidore also deserves to be considered ahead of this clash. Whilst Giovinco and Drew Moor bagged Toronto’s two goals in last week’s victory over the New England Revolution, Altidore has been sublime so far this campaign and the 9/4 with Betway available for him to score at any time is solid.
For Dallas, there’s only one place to look: Maximiliano Urruti. The Argentina star has bagged nine goals in 14 games so far this season and Dallas will be relying on the 26-year-old to make the breakthrough. At 17/5 to open the scoring with 10Bet, he is well worth backing – especially considering his recent form.
In addition, young Cristian Colman could finally get off the mark after a slow start to the new campaign. The Dutchman is just 23 years old but Pareja has shown plenty of faith in the youngster and he is well priced at 21/10 with Betway to get off the mark here. Toronto may focus too much on Urruti and that could open the door for Colman to strike.
Other Side Bets
Defensively, both sides are sound – only Sporting Kansas City have conceded fewer goals (12) than Toronto and Dallas (15 each). With that in mind, a low-scoring affair could be on the cards. The ‘no’ market on both teams to score is available at EVS with Bet365 and plenty of punters may be tempted; this is the kind of game that could be settled by the odd goal.
If truth be told, it would be foolish to predict a mass victory either way. Were Toronto at home, the Canadian side would be red hot favourites and they do stand a very good chance of winning here. However, Dallas have been solid at home and Toronto in the double chance market is worth a look. You can get 5/6 with Winner Sports and that could be the bet of the weekend.
