The Toronto Raptors have won nine of their 13 NBA games this year and plenty of punters will be keen to back Nick Nurse’s side on Tuesday night. With seven wins from their last 10 matches, Toronto are in fantastic form and a victory looks likely.
Supporters were split on Toronto’s chances at the beginning of the season but the Raptors have exceeded expectations in recent months. On current form, you’d be hard pressed to write Toronto off in their bid to retain the NBA title.
However, Orlando are on a three-game winning run of their own and the Magic will take some stopping at Scotiabank Arena. One major negative against Orlando here though – the Magic are 0-4 on the road this campaign.
Orlando are one of those teams on the cusp of challenging for a playoff berth this year and it would be foolish to write them off just yet. On their day, the Magic are capable of giving the best teams in the business a real test.
Enough chitchat for now – it is time to look at Tuesday night’s big game. Toronto have been one of the NBA’s strongest teams for some time but the Raptors have entered a transition period. Could that give the incentive to Orlando? Only time will tell.

Raptors Have Shocked Us All In 2019/20
With the utmost respect to the current Toronto roster, it just isn’t as strong as it was a year ago. However, the Raptors have tweaked their strategy somewhat to cope in the absence of Kawhi Leonard and Toronto are genuine contenders in the Eastern Conference once again.
At the time of writing, 888Sport customers can back the Raptors at 33/1 to defend the NBA Championship in 2019/20. While it would be foolish to claim that Toronto are contenders, it has been refreshing to see Nurse’s men enjoy lots of early season success in recent weeks.
In our 2019/20 regular season preview, we touched on Pascal Siakam and how Toronto will need him to step up this year. Through 13 games, Siakam leads the team in points per game and rebounds per game. Toronto fans will be hoping that he can keep it up…
Hit And Miss Orlando In Playoff Conversation
It feels crazy to talk about the postseason in November but that is what it is all about. At the time of writing, the Magic are mid-table in the Eastern Conference and the playoffs are well within reach. Winning at Scotiabank Arena would certainly help confidence and momentum.
Orlando are one of those ‘always the bridesmaid, never the bride’ teams but the Magic may be on the verge of something special. A shock victory against the defending champions could be the catalyst for success in 2019/20 with a bit of luck.
All signs point towards a Raptors success on Tuesday night and we could see Toronto rack up another important victory over an Eastern Conference opponent. With Siakam firing on all cylinders and showing no signs of letting up, anything is possible this season.
Orlando are always capable of an upset though and it would be foolish to write them off completely ahead of Tuesday’s clash. A fast start for the visitors could force Toronto to panic and change their game plan.
Back Toronto to win convincingly here – the Magic have crumbled in road games this year and the Scotiabank Arena faithful will be expecting big things. This could turn out to be very one-sided if the Raptors perform at their brilliant best.
TIP: Toronto to win by 11-16 points
CORRECT SCORE: Toronto Raptors 121-108 Orlando Magic
